Things to consider when designing sports fields:

 

•  The stadium axis is oriented either towards north-south or towards east-west, but the optimal orientation for the stadium axis is (northeast) (southwest) to ensure that the sun is behind the spectators.

• A slope is given to the standing and sitting places so that the spectator can see the stadium without being obstructed by the rows of spectators. Therefore, the stands are given the shape of a parabola because it achieves the best viewing conditions on the longer sides.

•  The stadium must be built within an attractive nature, close to important streets and thus provide parking spaces.

•  The width of the steps and entrances is calculated on the basis of the dense and rapid emptying of the public according to the rule used to calculate the width of the steps:
